  • For Safety on Saturday 18th and Sunday Of June 2016! Darwin Cycling Will be holding a cycling event on the Morning of Sunday the 19th June 2016 between the hours of 0730 and 0930. The event will start and finish at Bark Hut Inn and will travel 40km east along the arnhem highway before returning to the Bark Hut Inn. The turn around point will be located 4.8km east of the Kakadu Park Boundary. Please drive with caution around cyclist.
  • Great News, Jim Jim Falls is open!!
  • Twin Falls will open shortly after Jim Jim once the water crossing has dropped, floating walk way and boat has been installed via helicopter and crocodile surveys complete. Forecast to open 22 June 2016.   Check out our Facebook page for photos – http://www.facebook.com/kakadunationalpark
  • Kakadu early dry season burning program has commenced. Every year in the early dry season, controlled burns are conducted across the park by Bininj and park staff. This helps to clean up removing dry grassses which helps generate new plant growth. Please observe all for burning warning sgins and for further information contact Bowali.

4 Mile Hole Billabong Closed  Due to salvinia outbreak affecting 95% of the billabong, Four Mile Hole will be temporarily closed for remediation during 2016.  Two Mile Hole will still be accessible.

Bowali Visitor Centre Open Visitor Centre and Tourist Information Services are open from 8am to 5pm daily.

Anbangbang Billabong walk Open 2.5km circular walk is CLOSED due to high water levels from the recent rainfall but the carpark area is still accessible. Sightings of Feral PIGS. Be Careful when going into car park.
Gubara Pools walk Open Day use only. Crocodiles can move into this areas at any time. Please call Bowali Visitor Centre on 08 8938 1120 to report any sightings.
