Please use caution around bushfires in the park and smoke across the road particularly in the south of Kakadu. Rangers are continuously monitoring fire impact – please be aware that should we deem an area unsafe due to fire, it may close at short notice. - The grader will be on the Jim Jim Road today, please drive with care. Road works continue on the 4WD track beyond Garnamarr, expect short delays.
- Gubara is currently closed due to crocodile sightings.
- Barrk Marlam and Twin Falls are now closed for the season. Access to Jim Jim plunge pool is still available.
- Jim Jim Falls seasonal closure will come into effect from Sunday 9 November from 4pm.
- Maintenance works to the Gunlom Road will commence Monday 27th October. The area will still be open but visitors may experience short delays as road trains ferry gravel into the area.
Drivers should be aware of the potential presence of crocodiles in water crossings in Kakadu National Park — Do not enter the water and stay inside the vehicle at all times while crossing water bodies in vehicles.

Starting at the large banyan fig tree near the Aurora Kakadu Resort is the Gungarre walk – a 3.6km circular walk through monsoon forest and woodlands, and along the edge of the Anggaradabal Billabong.
