WHAT’S HAPPENING TODAY:

PLEASE NOTE: Twin Falls is closed today due to rain overnight. Please also be careful on the Jim Jim Road as flash flooding can occur.

PLEASE NOTE:

Kakadu is a biodiversity hotspot and home to more than a third of Australia’s bird species. Reward yourself when joining Parks Australia and NT Birding Experts to celebrate the Top End’s diverse birdlife during Kakadu Bird Week 1-9 October, 2016.

  • Bardedjilidji and the Sandstone River walking tracks will be closed from Saturday night (3rd Septmeber) until approximately midday on Monday 5th September.  The tracks will be closed for urgent aerial feral animal control for visitor safety purposes.

  • Due to extensive fire damage, Nawurlandja Lookout will remain closed until further notice
  • Grader operator will be on the Red Lily Billabong, Bucket Billabong and Alligator Billabong roads. Please drive with caution and adhere signs

4 Mile Hole Billabong Closed Due to salvinia outbreak affecting 95% of the billabong, Four Mile Hole will be temporarily closed for remediation during 2016.  Two Mile Hole will still be accessible.
West Alligator Head Open ECD (Emergency Call Device) currently out of order – ensure to take an Epirb or Satellite Phone for emergencies.

No Water Available. Must Take own water. Road is in good condition, loose gravel surface. please drive safely to conditions.

Twin Falls Closed Twin Falls Gorge Boat Shuttle tickets $12.50 per person (over 16) CASH ONLY at site, and can be purchased at Bowali Visitor Centre. Jim Jim Crossing is currently 0.8m deep. ACCESS IS STRICTLY HIGH CLEARENCE 4WD VEHICLE WITH SNORKEL ONLY. Estaurine Crocodiles are present in this area, please adhere to all crocodile warning signs and do not swim.
